COVID-19 Vaccination for People Living with a Disability

Key Points

  • People living with a disability can walk-in at any Western Health vaccination hub and receive a vaccination without a prior booking. They will not need to provide proof of disability to access this service.
  • People living with a disability, regardless of their age, will be offered the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.

Disability Liaison Service 

  • The disability liaison officer (DLO) program is able to assist with both in home and drive through requests – as well as vaccination appointments at a variety of different sites.

In Home Vaccination

In home vaccination will be available for people who are deaf or hard of hearing this Sunday 5, Monday 6 and Tuesday 7 December 2021. This service involves a trained nurse, Auslan interpreter and support worker visiting your home to provide your first or second vaccine. Both AstraZeneca and Pfizer vaccines are available.

  • How many people in your home would like to be vaccinated
  • Your preferred date and time for the team to visit

If you or anyone in your household becomes ill or has any symptoms, please let the team know prior to their attendance. They will arrange to come another time.
